3M™ Cubitron™ II Abrasive Belt 984F is made with revolutionary 3M Precision Shaped Grain technology on a YF-weight, water-resistant polyester cloth backing. It is resin-bonded for heat resistance and can be used wet or dry.3M Cubitron II Abrasive Belts feature a grinding aid which enhances performance and a YF-weight backing that excels in medium/high pressure stainless, cobalt chrome and nickel alloy applications. Recommended for offhand and pressure grinding on all exotic metal alloys. 3M Cubitron II Belts not only last up to four times longer than conventional ceramic abrasive belts, but also cut faster throughout their life. This translates to more finished parts per belt per hour. The precision-shaped grain found in Cubitron II belts combines the advanced material properties of our original Cubitron grain with the precise microreplicated structures pioneered in 3M Trizact Abrasives. As the triangular shaped grain wears, it continuously fractures to form sharp points and edges.
