The Bosch 1294VS is ideal for sanding in confined areas, such as concave corners and other hard-to-reach areas, and on edges. Unlike oscillating multi-tools and inferior detail sander models, the 1294VS uses a true orbital sanding action, similar to hand sanding action, which provides more-uniform results than arcing or pivoting motions. A variable-speed dial allows selection of the speed appropriate for the workpiece and task, and the low-vibration design is engineered for smooth running and operator comfort at all speeds. The unit’s dust port allows connection to a vacuum cleaner hose for through-the-pad collection for more-efficient sanding and a cleaner work environment. Available in the 1294VSK orbital detail sander kit, the unit comes complete with regular sanding pad, extension plate, narrow flat and ovular extension plates, 20 sanding sheets, VAC002 vacuum hose adapter, and a carrying case.
