The Platinum Tooling PMXPWC2188 PowerCut Pack compatible with 200 Series jig plates includes a 188 Endmill and extra sacrificial bushing and a precision-made endmill. The platinum tooling endmill is excellent at flattening a broken extractor in preparation for drilling. Due to high temperatures and heavy payloads, titanium exhaust manifold bolts on Ford 3.5L EcoBoost Engines are breaking, causing the need for more frequent repairs. ProMAXXÂŽ Platinum PPM188â?? bits are precision machine grade tooling formed from industrial high-quality micro-grain carbide. These bits are used in specialized machining operations where precision boring through extreme hard material is required, such as titanium fasteners, a broken screw extractor, drill bit, or even a tap. With increased hardness capability, comes increased brittleness, so respecting their capability and handling them delicately is recommended. The PowerCut package includes an additional PPB2188 or PPB3188 ProBushing as a sacrificial item when used with the 188. ProMAXX Recommends the use of this package when encountering an extremely hard drilling surface as previously mentioned.
